Speke Hall - Haunted History

Speke Hall is a wood-framed Tudor manor house that is said to be haunted by the ghost of a former heiress, Lady Mary Norris. She married Lord Sidney Beauclerk, a man nicknamed "Worthless Sidney" who gambled away the family fortune. It's said that Lady Mary, so distraught by this took her baby son from his cradle and threw him from the window of the tapestry room into the moat below, before taking her own life in the great hall.
As well as the ghost of Lady Mary, the building is said to be home to plenty of paranormal activity, including a general feeling of unease, the sound of unexplained footsteps and children crying, as well as sightings of dark shadowy figures, including one figure that is said to whisper the words "get out".
